Cooking is not enough. Sometimes the hunt for the most appropriate ingredients to take you to mouth-pleasing heights is a sheer talent on its own.
Growing up in regional Tasmania had a profound effect on the way I perceive food; being surrounded by the rhythms of the seasons and my mother's inspiring home cooking has allowed me to develop an appreciation for not only where food comes from, how its grown and the producers but of flavours go together.
Always "work hard" and "be true to yourself and your ingredients" and success will follow.
